Purchase a cheap Chevy Equinox from Government Auctions (GSA) if you are looking for a good deal on a bank owned car, seized or ex lease fleet car then check out our search from the recent listings on our website. Buying a car in this way is a great investment, let’s take an in depth look at each method of used car purchase you can use through our website.

Government Auctions: The majority of government bodies will sell their cars on a regular basis when they reach a specific period of usage or mileage. When these cars are auctioned off or sold at wholesale prices. In the majority of cases the cars have been kept in good condition and do not have very high mileage making them great buys. We have a great amount of GSA auction data available if you want to search this then click through the red search button and this will take you to the government auctions website.

Bank Owned Chevy Equinox: Seized cars and repos are very similar, the owner of the car has failed to make payments on the car loan and the finance company needs to make up for the debt on the failed car sale. Prices vary greatly on bank owned cars and usually depends on how much cash the lender needs to make up for. This will determine whether the bank wants a fast sale or not.

Lease and Ex Fleet Chevy Equinox: When a lease on a car ends the cars are taken by the finance company where they are looking to overcome the debt on the car. Leased cars are often only a few years old and are a great choice for their discounted price and superb quality. The ex company leased cars are usually kept in good condition and with a bit of research you’ll find a great bargain.

Ex Police cars are popular as they are usually inexpensive and come fitted with non standard equipment. Many people will buy these ex police cars for their cool look on the streets, but also these ex highway patrol cars & ex cop cars are known to be a great low cost option in general. Not all ex police car deals are at great rates so shop around and judge these on a case by case basis.

The Extended-Range Electric Vehicle that is redefining the automotive world is no longer just a rumor. In fact, its propulsion system is so revolutionary, it’s unlike any other vehicle or electric car that’s ever been introduced.

The Chevrolet Volt is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle to be produced by General Motors, expected to be launched as a 2011 model.  The Volt’s propulsion system will be based on GM’s new Voltec (formerly known as E-Flex) platform, which differs significantly from GM’s earlier BAS Hybrid and Two-Mode Hybrid systems.

The electrical power from the generator is sent to either the electric motor or the batteries, depending on the state of charge (SOC) of the battery pack and the power demanded at the wheels. The distribution is controlled by the electronic control unit (ECU) of the vehicle. With fully charged batteries, enough stored electrical energy will power the Volt for 40 miles (64 km), a distance capable of satisfying the daily commute of 75% of Americans,[10] which averages around 33 miles (53 km). After 40 miles (64 km), a small 4-cylinder gasoline internal combustion engine drives a 53 kW generator effectively extending the Volt’s potential range to as much as 640 miles (1,030 km) on a single tank of gasoline.

Unlike most current commercially available electric hybrids, the actual propulsion of the Volt is accomplished exclusively by the electric motor, and the internal combustion engine is used as another charging method. Electric power for the vehicle is sourced from its onboard lithium-ion batteries which are charged by an electrical power outlet and/or the gasoline engine. The Volt’s 16 kWh lithium-ion battery pack can be fully charged (technically ~85%; see SOC) by plugging the car into a 120-240VAC residential electrical outlet using the provided SAE J1772 compliant charging cord. No external charging station will be required.
