Best Price Deals On 2010 Volkswagen Jetta SE Sedan’s.
The Volkswagen Jetta hasn’t always been called a Jetta, but it has been around since 1979. The Jetta is named after the jetstream, joining Volkswagen relatives such as the Scirocco, Bora, and Passat as cars named after various winds. Basically, whatever name it uses, the Jetta is a compact, entry-level luxury car disguised as a family car. It is also priced like a family car.

The 2010 Volkswagen Jetta SE is a “compact family car,” and is the third of eight trim levels. It has a 2.5 liter, inline 5-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower. It has 16-inch alloy wheels, front-wheel drive, and a 5-speed manual transmission. It is rated at 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
The Jetta SE comes with a leather-covered, tilt-telescope steering wheel, heated 2-way power front bucket seats with lumbar support and height adjustment, a split-folding rear seat, leatherette upholstery, full power accessories, cruise control, air conditioning, 12-volt outlets in the front and rear seats, a power sunroof, a rear defogger, and turn signal mirrors. The audio system has Bluetooth, 10 speakers, AM/FM/satellite radio, a 6-CD/MP3 changer, an audio jack, and a memory card slot.
The Jetta also has side front airbags, side curtain airbags, antilock brakes, stability control, and traction control. In government tests, the Jetta received 4 stars out of 5 for front impact protection and a perfect 5 stars for side impact. It got the best scores of “good” from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in all front and side impact tests.
Conclusions and driver feedback:
The interior is where the Jetta separates itself from the competition in its price range. It is moderately priced, but the interior borders on luxury. The design is very Euro, which is no surprise, with plenty of high-quality materials and an understated but attractive design. The leatherette upholstery is difficult to tell from real leather, and easier to clean.
Cabin space is mixed. The front seats have excellent headroom and legroom, and the rear seats have plenty of legroom. However, the headroom in the rear seats leaves a bit to be desired for taller passengers. There are 16 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk.
The handling and ride are typical Euro; they pull off the trick of combining sporty handling with a very smooth ride. The steering is responsive, and the suspension handles whatever you want to give it while keeping body roll to a minimum. Meanwhile, the ride is very smooth, with just a hint of road feel but no jolts from surface imperfections. The engine is enough to make it a fun car, but not enough to get you into trouble, providing slightly better than average acceleration and nice cruising at highway speeds.
All in all, you cannot go wrong with the Jetta. It delivers a lot more than its price would dictate.
The verdict: very highly recommended.
