Cheap Used 2010 Kia Forte SX Sedan’s For Sale

Best Price Deals Online! 2010 Kia Forte SX Sedan’s.

The Kia Forte is a economy compact car that is Kia’s nod toward the younger market.  Kia has done a great job of making cars that are relatively inexpensive, without a lot of features, but offer surprisingly good quality.  With the Forte, they have upped their game a bit, adding a modern design and a few extra features.

The 2010 Kia Forte SX Sedan is the highest of three trim levels and the only one  with the larger engine and a sport-tuned suspension.  It has a 2.4 liter, inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 173 horsepower.  It has 17-inch alloy wheels, front-wheel drive, and a 6-speed manual transmission.  It is rated at 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.

The Forte SX comes with a leather-wrapped, tilt-telescope steering wheel, front sport seats with driver’s height adjustment, a split-folding rear seat, keyless entry, full-power accessories, cruise control, a rear defogger, air conditioning, simulated alloy trim on the console, dash, and doors, foglights, and a trip computer.  The audio system has Bluetooth, 6 speakers, AM/FM radio, a CD/MP3 player, an audio jack, and a USB/iPod input.

The Forte also comes with antilock brakes, side front airbags, side curtain airbags, active front head restraints, stability control, and traction control.   In government tests, the Forte got a perfect 5 stars in front impact protection and side impact front passenger protection, and 4 stars for side impact rear protection.  The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Forte its highest scores of “good” in all front and side impact tests.

Conclusions and driver feedback:

The interior is surprisingly nice for a middle-range compact.  The materials are above average quality, and the overall look is attractive.  There is a decent amount of cabin space, with plenty of headroom and legroom in the front, and tolerable headroom and legroom in the rear seat.  The trunk holds 14.87 cubic feet worth of cargo.

The Forte SX has great handling.  It is tweaked for sport, which produces very responsive steering, a tight suspension, and minimal body roll.  This car hugs the road very well when cornering or driving on demanding roads.  The ride is above average for an economy car, too.  It isn’t luxury, and there is a bit of road feel, but it is plenty comfortable.  The bigger engine on this trim level gives a little bit of extra punch, and is great for acceleration or cruising at highway speeds.

All in all, this is a very fine economy car, even though the higher trim level costs a bit more.  The 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty is great, too.

The verdict: a good car, and a great value.
